What Is Running with My Pants Down?
Hello and welcome to Running with My Pants Down — a blog category for anyone who needs a laugh at life’s absurdities and isn’t afraid of a few expletives (okay, more than a few).
Who Am I?
I’m J.L. Amos, an author/entrepreneur who’s spent the past decade ghostwriting the internet, working in marketing firms, surviving grad school, and judging an international creative writing competition (my bio is on my author page if you’re interested). In addition, I mother a handful of children and constantly need a mental break. This blog is just that.
Why This Blog?
Anyone who has eight billion irons in the fire knows that even though it’s worth it, a life that hectic is stressful and you need to blow off steam sometimes. There are so many people out there in this same position, and since I can’t be serious all the time, I’ve decided that you shouldn’t be either. You’re welcome.
I’ve plagued my friends and family with my absurdity for decades, so I figured I would share it with the world in hopes of getting you all to laugh a little with me. If you like what you see in this blog category and want to suggest a post topic, feel free to leave suggestions in the comments or visit me on social media. I look forward to hearing your ideas.
Thank you for reading,
J.L. Amos

Sounds like the perfect blog…and frankly I can identify because I have too many irons in the fire, prefer never to wear skirts if I can help it (was forced to at a private grade school), and generally think you’ve got an awesome outlook with just enough snark to make me really laugh. I’m looking forward to reading more!

Thank you so much for these kind words! I’ve always loved laughing and making others laugh, so I knew I’d have to dedicate at least part of a blog to that purpose. Life is too short not to have fun along the way. Also, PNW writers are the best kind. Of course. No bias here.
